Demystifying the Teen Brain
Impact Norwood has been collaborating with St. Timothy's Church to host a speaker series entitled, "Demystifying the Teen Brain." The series will take place over a few months, starting in October with Dr. Ruth Potte who will focus on Addiction and the Developing Brain. In January, representatives from Franciscan Children's Hospital will focus on youth mental health, and in March a mental health counselor from the Office of Child Advocacy at the Archdiocese of Boston will teach parents/guardians how to identify signs of trauma in youth, how to have difficult conversations and prevent substance use disorders and other mental health problems in youth.
Calling all Writers, Journalists & Photographers
Impact Norwood is starting a blog/vlog/podcast series entitled "Humans of Norwood" to highlight members of the coalition, and our community. The goal is to recognize people in the community and discuss topics that will range from personal stories of recovery, how Impact Norwood formed, mental health and prevention.
